About Me
With over a decade of experience in the aerospace industry specializing in small satellite development, I've played a pivotal role in advancing space technology, particularly in the realm of small satellites. I have worked extensively in the Seattle aerospace scene with companies such as Spaceflight Industries, LeoStella, and Blacksky.
As Chief Engineer for the Blacksky Gen 2 and Gen 3 satellite programs, I've led the technical vision and execution that resulted in the successful development and deployment of more than 25 spacecraft spanning three design generations. My leadership journey progressed from Systems Engineer to Director of Systems Engineering, where I helped scale the engineering organization from roughly 20 people to over 60 talented professionals.
My expertise lies in translating complex mission requirements into achievable spacecraft designs while managing the intricate balance between performance, cost, and schedule constraints. I thrive in collaborative environments where innovation and practical problem-solving intersect to push the boundaries of what's possible in small satellite technology.
Throughout my career, I've remained committed to advancing Earth observation capabilities that provide critical insights for government, commercial, and humanitarian applications around the globe.
